Weather in Maldives

Maldives is blessed with a year-round tropical climate featuring moderately high temperatures and considerable rainfall. The islands to the south of and in close proximity to the Equator are considered to have more regular rainfall.

In the drier season daily sunshine hours are approximately eight or nine. Turbulent weather conditions are rare and short lived. Overall climatic conditions in the Maldives are very pleasant and salubrious, providing an ideal environment for a delightful tropical holiday.
